| | | | | | | | Title of Item: | Title IV Student Support and Academic Enrichment 2022-2023 | Description/Introduction: | The Title IV grant is established to improve student’s academic achievement by increasing school district capacity to provide all students with access to a well-rounded education; improve school conditions for student learning; and increase the use of technology to enhance the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students. This grant will focus on justice-involved students (students who are on probation, have been to Teen Court, or who are transitioning from a DJJ facility back into Santa Rosa County High Schools), as well as other identified at-risk youth. Services provided by a Student Intervention Specialists. will include establishing or improving dropout prevention, support the re-entry programs and transition services for justice-involved youth. This grant also provides opportunities for well-rounded enrichment by providing salaries for mentor teachers who provide support for new teachers in the alternative certification program and a partial salary for the new Coordinator of STEAM position. | Recommendation/Action Requested: | |
