The Title IV grant, in its third year of implementation focuses on intervention and support of over 240 justice involved youth and at-risk students. Two student intervention specialists provide case management and support services for these vulnerable students. The goal is to assist them in earning their high school diploma and successfully transitioning to post-secondary training and career.
Activities funded include.
1. Supporting the re-entry programs and transitions services for justice-involved youth
2. Supporting college and career counseling, including providing information on opportunities for financial aid through the early FAFSA
3. Establishing or improving dropout prevention
4. Developing relationship building to help improve safety through the recognition and prevention of coercion, violence, or abuse
5. Establish community partnerships (Department of Juvenile Justice, University of West Florida, Santa Rosa County Circuit 1 Court)
