Continuation of the Adult Education & Family Literacy, Corrections Grant which supports and improves programs to assist adults to become literate and obtain knowledge and skills for employment and economic self-sufficiency.  These federal resources also assist adults in the transition to re-entry initiatives and other post-release services with the goal of reducing recidivism.
