Description/Introduction:

Abby Harrison, a sophomore at Jay High School and a student in the Commercial Arts Academy, recently won the 2013 Congressional Art Show among Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa students.  Her art piece, a self portrait titled “Self Portrait “Innocence” was created using one word “innocence” over 2000 times forming the word to fit the image of herself.  The assignment was using text to create an overall portrait.  Abby will travel to Washington D.C. to see her work at the White House, where it will be on display for one year.  Abby earned Adobe Certified Associate certification in the Commercial Arts Academy, taught by Teresa Hendricks, during her Freshmen year.
