Title I, Part A will fund the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Innovate Initiative at 18 Title I Schools. The grant will also fund the  maintenance and enhancement of school-wide reading and math reform to increase the following activities: a) the amount and quality of learning time for students in grades K-5; b) the percentage of teachers participating in high quality professional development; c) parent involvement. In addition, the grant will fund the acquisition of researched-based materials and instructional technology to ensure the increase of student proficiency in reading and math.
