Description/Introduction:

Two firms responded to our legal advertisement soliciting proposals for a Continuing Contract to retain professional engineering services for construction projects that do not exceed $2,000,000 in estimated construction costs or $200,000 in fees arising during a five year period. (Legal ad attached)

A review committee comprised of Michael Brandon, Jud Crane, Richard Laing, Charlie Parker, Tim Tolbert and I reviewed the qualifications of the proposers and placed them in rank order as follows:

 

1.    Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc.

2.    Peterson Engineering, Inc.

As per the legal advertisement Schmidt Consulting Group ranked as the top firm. (Tally Sheet attached)

Recommendation/Action Requested:I request Board approval for Schmidt Consulting Group, Inc. for the Engineering Continuing Contract from 2014-2019.
