The Title I School Improvement Grant [1003 (a)] will provide
funding for strategies to meet the needs of students in subgroups that have not
made adequate yearly progress in reading and/or math enrolled at Santa Rosa
County Schools Title I Focus Schools (Schools
earning a grade of D: East Milton Elementary).

Strategies include: Extended day services (after-school,
before-school and summer school) to include teacher salaries and benefits to
provide small group, differentiated instruction to meet the academic needs of
students who are below proficiency in reading and/or math, as measured by FCAT
or Discovery Education Assessment. Professional development for teachers and
administrators focusing on Depth of Knowledge Questioning, Kagan Thinking
Skills Training, Project Based Learning.
